RE: I'll Show you Mine if you Show me Yours
When you said I should have said no MJ cards I laughed because I was already pulling up my photobucket account to post my highest BV MJ card. 1997-98 Flair Legacy /100. This card was actually free and given to me as a present At the time it only booked for $500....now it has increased value by nearly x5!
DAyum, If only my pc was working in regards to scans (It's saving them as pdf's not scans). Anyway, most expensive card ...... probably 2009-10 Playoff Contenders Blake Griffin RC. The first one I pulled came out of a random pack. my second one came in a box when the card was down at US$50 and I traded it to Nick (i think, or was it pingbling?) at that BV. Well, currently, that is my most expensive. my rarest? Picked it up beginning of the week from a fellow aussie collector - 2007-08 Topps letterman Quad Patches Refractor Kevin Garnett #2/5. That one sits pretty in my second of three Garnett folders. now if only i could work out how to make my pc save images from scanner so i can post them.....
Collect Patrick Ewing, Jalen Rose, Kevin Garnett, LaMarcus Aldridge, Jeff Green if you have less than 25 trades, I will ask you to send first. Great cards, everyone! I have nothing to share. Looking forward to seeing more posts on this very nice thread.
As far as basketball cards go, the Jordan refractor on the left of this scan is my most valuable. Pulled it EONS ago. Wish I had taken better care of it, it just sat in a screw-down holder w/ no sleeve for way too long.
However, I got this as a birthday present about 15 years ago from my much older brother (I am currently 28, he turns 45 next week) after he went through and organized his old football card collection. Before you think "wow, who would just give away a Payton RC!" he's got 5 more, two of which would easily grade 8 or higher, so he could spare this one
I collect Michael Jordan, Mitch Richmond, and Ohio State players (football and basketball) in OSU gear. I strongly prefer 90's-era cards and use newer cards primarily for trade bait!
Here a reason why I like 2007 Hhp product. I bought about 3 boxes of it, and this card popped out of the pull. Hence, back then this product price was still very reasonable so I bought a few more boxes and pulled a few Lebrons, a few Durants, but no matter what, nothing top this Monster MJ pulled from this very product. I am now convinced that this card and this product is my favorite of all time.
If we are going with non-jordan's this would have to be my best. I just love the history behind the card.
