Help with scans

Hate to ask but for some reason everything I scan and try to post wont work ( even if I do a single card ). I get the error message that the file excedes XXX kilobytes. Any help would be appreciated. I never used to have problems but have not scanned in a long time.
I collect Bills cards, Bills AU, and Bills memorabilia.
