The Marlins? Really?

The Marlins? Really?
Reading this article, it's evident the Marlins want to spend money. They've already signed Heath Bell and Jose Reyes. Are pursing Albert Pujols, C.J. Wilson and Mark Buerhle? Wow, they're going to be really good if they get all those guys.

They'll need to get someone to hit behind Pujols, though. Just my 2 cents. What are your thoughts on all this?

SOMEONE TO HIT BEHIND PUJOLS???????? Have you seen their roster? Logan Morrison, Mike Stanton, Hanley Ramirez, etc. All of those guys can rack!!!! If the get Prince Albert its going to be on like donkey kong. I am not a fan of theirs but WOW watch out!!!

That's what everyone said about the Red Sox last year and look where they ended up. There's something to be said about team chemistry. That being said, it looks like a formidable lineup.
Interested in EX-MT or better pre-'56 Cardinals, '53 Bowman Color & '74-'78 Topps.

The only guy I've heard of is Hanley, but didn't realize he hits that well. Maybe they've already got the insurance to hit behind Pujols.

If you have never heard of Mike Stanton please read

He has had 56 homeruns in 2 years, 34 last year alone which was 5th in the league.

Is he a rookie and were those his minor league #s? If so, that'd be why. I don't prospect on baseball players. If those were major league numbers, that's really impressive for his 1st 2 years. Wonder why I've never heard of him?

Those are major league numbers for Stanton. Hanley is good but he fell off last season.

Yeah he has been in the league for 2 years. I didnt hear much out of him last year but this past season he was a beast!!!! Hanley was really good last year and as stated above he fell off a little bit. Either way both of those guys are good hitters and fielders as well. Morrison was a rookie but he smashed pretty well also wih 23 hrs. They are going to be fun to watch. Unlike the RedSox they are all young and dont seem to be all about themselves. Adrian Gonzo was good for the sox but Crawford I think wanted the spotlight.
