Mail Day - Another Jay Bruce 1/1
Picked up another Jay Bruce 1/1. This is my third 1/1 from 2011 Triple Threads......sounds funny to say third 1/1........but that's Triple Threads for you.

Awesome cards - is that the white whale and the platinum versions?

That's the thing about Triple Threads that I guess I don't get. Now that I look, they are both TTAR-263 and say White Whale One of One on the back - identical backs. The front is obviously a little different "color-wise". Anyone have any ideas? Is one really the platinum??? Pic of backs below...

That is very confusing, if it was platinum I don;t think it would say white whale (but I could be wrong). Are there actually different versions of each white whale..... with the red tinted one being the magenta? That is a good question!

Beckett's OPG only shows one white whale per card #. I emailed Topps last night and attached pics of the cards. Hopefully they will tell me something. I will update if I hear anything.

My guess is, as with all other sets that put printing plates into packs. Each card has four different printing plates, so I'm guessing its not gonna be any different in triple threads. One magenta, one black, one yellow, and one cyan one. And not to mention the different cards a player has in Triple threads, so there could be a lot of 1/1s of a single player in this set.

I think they show one white whale but I thought there was a white whale for all 4 colors, cyan, black, yellow, and magenta. I may be wrong though.
