RE: My wife brought this home from garage sale
The original bottom of a 1952 Bowman has a copyright on the very bottom of the card that says "1952 Bowman Gum Division, Harlan(spelling?) Laboratories, Inc. Phila. 44, PA.-Ptd. in U.S.A. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but your card is a reprint that sells for around $15-20 (maybe a little more to the right collector). Either way, don't waste the $10 on authentication. I hope that saved you time and money. Definitely a GREAT find in a dollar lot. Good luck!

Two questions:
1. Where is your wife garage saleing?
2. How did you train your wife so well?

1. She loves to shop for a bargain lol shed spend hours looking to save a dollar.
2. She likes to let me know she cares about my hobby...Or maybe shes trying to make me stop talking to her about it and this was the payoff lol

Garage sales are a great way to find rare memorabilia if you can find an affluent neighborhood in a big city where the entire neighborhood is having a garage/yard sale. Very cool find. One of the greatest center fielders to ever play the game and one of the greatest Yankees of all time.
