2011 is my first year collecting cards, and it's been great so far, but a few things like this are frustrating.

Without comparing bowman 2011 + bowman 2011 chrome checklists side by side, I can't easily see which cards are repeats and which are new.

I opened some retail last night and was surprised to find a Brian Wilson card that wasn't in the 2011 main set. I was then curious who else was added.

Is there a list somewhere that lets you know if the chrome card is reprint of the main set?

I don't want the main set AGAIN but in chrome. Just the new cards.

Or do I? I understand the appeal of the prospect #'ed and autos on chrome, but why would you want the main in chrome? IMO the photo quality is worse, and I really like the international 11 cards.

At the moment you probably do have to compare checklists side by side for that. Of course, once Beckett gets the Chrome checklist loaded you can use the Price Guide for that as well (even if you don't subscribe).

I think you picked a good year to start with Bowman and Bowman Chrome. Best,
