How do you determine a value of an Orange Ref
Just curious to see how people come up with the value of an Orange ref, since they are numbered to 25 and no price listed.
As a rule of thumb, I use 150% of the value of a Gold Ref. Or is that just way off base?
Trying to work out a trade with a member on one of my Orange Ref prospect cards. The Gold Ref books for $80, so I figure around $120 value. This individual is trying to get me to do a value of $75 on the card.
Just wanting some advice on how others try to determine their value.
Thank you.

Like you I generally figure a minimum of 1.5 - 2 times the gold refractor but that is based also on the player, recent sales, card condition and demand. I certainly would not put a value less than the gold. Are you more attached to the Orange Refractor than the possible incoming trade?

combo of completed ebay auctions and looking at what similar caliber players have sold for... and also of the player I'm after.
Jonny Venters - Super Collector
Overall Collection (113/157 72% Complete)
base/parallels (85/85 100%)
1/1's (28/72 39%)
always looking for venters 1/1's and 2008/2010 low numbered refractors

Unfortunately, this player does not have any Golds or Oranges sold. In a year or 2, he should be on Top 50 lists. So the only comparison is 1.5 x gold price, IMO.
Thank you for the advice, just confirmed I am not too crazy.
