Why is Upper deck Football items considered rookies?
I was looking through my Beckett and noticed that the Spx cards had Rc designations. Why is this? They are not Nfl Products. So are they true rcs? Press pass and sage don't get this privilege ever. So why does Upper Deck?

Ya know... I was thinking the same thing awhile back. Why give UD credit when Sage and PP doesn't get it?
No pro uni? Then it's not a RC.
Plus, most, if not all Press Pass stuff is ON CARD AUTOS.

It might be because the base set has a mix of vets and rc's. Press pass only has rc's. I would think since the base set has vets and rc's then they put the rc tag on rc's. That might be confusing, maybe someone will know what I mean! Lol.

IMO any rookie year card is a rookie card, lol...I bet everyone here disagrees though
Looking for Urlacher 1/1s, and 2000 Rookie Year Cards (especially BGS/PSA)

Some Press Pass Items have vets. But I agree with the whole any Rc year cards should be considered rcs. That includes Press Pass and Sage. If they are not considered rcs then Upper Deck shouldn't either in my opinion.

I agree with dabears, If it's a 2010, regardless of set or card type, to me, it's still a Dez or CJ Spiller Rookie card...I mean, it is a Rookie Year Card from the player....what more do you need?

I always consider Press Pass and all rookie year products to be rookies, I think most collectors agree.
All in with pocket Aces.... Andre Johnson and Aaron Rodgers.

Don't know how or why Beckett's is placing an RC tag on anything made by Upper Deck.
Upper Deck does not have a license to manufacture or produce any NFL cards, all they are allowed to produce is NCAA cards, that's it, they only have a collegiate license.
