I've been going through my Christy Mathewson collection looking for some cards to scan as he came up on the randomizer. "Big Six" was a member of the first class of Hall of Famers and was a dominant hurler in the early 1900s leading the NL in Victories, ERA and Strikeouts five times each, twice winning the pitching Triple Crown and throwing a couple of no-hitters. Also known as the "Christian Gentleman", he refused to pitch on Sundays. He was accidentally exposed to chemical weapons during training in World War I which led to his death at the relatively young age of 45. I currently have 135 different Beckett recognized cards of Christy of which here are nine of them including some parallels, inserts and SPs.
