OK, look, we're getting away from the point — given the emotion of the situation, it just bothered me that someone in Seattle (or near there, right?) can sit here and talk about how people in Sacramento don't care about the Kings.

If it wasn't worded that way specifically, then fine, I'll concede that point — but I promise you the idea is ludicrous. Beyond ludicrous.

And to correct myself and own up to it, I'll take the blame away from you.

However, anyone you heard that from, or wherever you saw it or read it, definitely has no idea what the hell they're talking about. That is a fact.

For example, the Kings' radio station is KHTK 1140 AM ... you can literally tune in any time of day (during local programming, not like ESPN stuff), and the phone lines will be jammed with people talking about the Kings, like for four straight hours during Grant Napear's afternoon drive show.

Literally, every call is about the Kings. There may be a few 49ers/Raiders calls on a Monday after a game, but even then it's a very small percentage on just one day of the week. Tuesday on, it's back to the Kings.

And this is a TERRIBLE team we're talking about — but they're ours, that's the point.

I fervently believe the Kings' fan base is the most loyal in the NBA, if not all of sports.

If you consider the Kings' overall record since they moved to Sacramento — eight winning seasons in 27 years? Seriously? — AND factor in that Sacramento plays in the oldest, smallest, most un-fan friendly arena in the NBA, AND factor in the relocation stuff that's been going on for two years (Anaheim, now Seattle), it is nothing less than remarkable that the team STILL sells over 75 percent of its tickets.

That was true even when the Anaheim stuff was really coming down, and for some sick, effed-up reason, the team started wearing its throwback "Royals" jerseys at home games — even when it was widely known that the Maloofs had applied for the "Anaheim Royals" team name.

But still, the fans showed up.

I mean, the Vancouver Grizzlies started playing in like, what, 1995? And they were in Memphis by 2002? How is that even possible?

Plus, these in-person autograph signings that I go to? I now show up like two hours early for them, because the first one I went to —Tyreke Evans at a Carl's Jr. right before he won Rookie of the Year — was wrapped around the block an hour before he was supposed to be there.

And this was for a team that was on its way to a 25-57 record that year.

I mean, seriously, it's unreal the love the town has for the team.

Look, I don't want any problems with any other member on here — I would just appreciate some consideration for true Kings fans like myself.

If you are happy about the possibility of Seattle getting a team back, that's fine — you should be, I would be too.

I would just appreciate it if you'd leave the Kings fans out of it, that's all.

Very simple, I wasnt trying to add salt in the would or even say that there are fans that do not care. Because I live near Seattle, I hear different things in the news. I heard in the news that the popularity of the team has dropped, which based on attendance it has. That isnt to say there arent loyal fans or that the team isnt popular at all. With everything, I am sure I could have worded it differently but my intent wasnt to offend anyone just simply state what I heard. But when I am told to shut my mouth over a simple comment, that doesnt settle with me. Simple as that.
