I have moved a bunch of cards I thought of as "crap" through trades, and I have taken others' "crap" cards to fill in blanks of my own. As the Grateful Dead once said, "One man gathers what another man spills." Of course, if I find I have 20 copies of a 1987 Topps Ripken, they go to the local Harbor House, the neighbor's kids, nieces and nephews, etc. If I keep one or two around, though, someone always wants them, eventually.
I appreciate Chicago players that begin competing within the city's sports organizations and stay with these teams throughout their careers.
