I don't think they would let him do it - I am a bit surprised they would let him buy one team with Amazon being one of their media partners (of course, the Fords have owned the Lions for years which means that they have no problem with interlocking between executive leadership and major shareholders of a major advertiser and a team)
Of course, I eventually believe that the NFL is going to eventually allow teams to sell stock and be publicly traded (as is common in European soccer) - in part that will be done to prevent NFL teams from ending up in the hands of very shady characters as is also often now common in European soccerÂ
The value of the NFL teams is becoming such that their outdated ownership model is becoming increasingly untenable
