BV = trading units on the site for me, that is it.
As doc said, and my dad used to tell me when I referenced beckett as a kid, "things are only worth what someone is willing to pay for them".
For the most part, BV is fine for trading. But there are cases where some cards are selling at or below low BV on fee-bay and the other card actually sells regularly for high BV or above on e-bay, despite having the same bv... In those cases I adjust my trading units or will reference sales.
BV can also be slow to update, and when a player gets hot and starts selling well, indefinitely account for internet sales their for an idea of value
