Post your Bengals cards - "Jungle Lovin'"

RE: Post your Bengals cards - "Jungle Lovin'"
What happened? Did we stall? Are we in a state of utter shock that the Bengals have won three in a row in convincing fashion? SNAP OUT OF IT! That is no excuse to stop showing the love! Let's keep this thing rolling and set it on fire!

And a little education into the Bengals Lore wouldn't hurt, either. Big Grin

Ross had an outstanding performance in Super Bowl XVI, recording a record 11 receptions for 104 yards and 2 touchdowns. His receptions, receiving yards, and receiving touchdowns were all the most by a tight end in Super Bowl history.

Jennings returned a 93-yard kickoff for a touchdown in Super Bowl XXIII. He finished his 9-season career with 1,250 rushing yards, 116 receptions for 1,098 yards, and 2,965 yards returning kickoffs. He also scored 20 touchdowns. His 2,752 kickoff return yards with Cincinnati would stand as a Bengals franchise record until surpassed by Tremain Mack in 2000.

Muñoz became a starter in his rookie season and remained a fixture at left tackle for the Bengals for 13 seasons and is considered one of, if not the greatest offensive linemen in NFL history. In addition to his talents as a blocker, Anthony Muñoz was also a capable receiver, notching 7 receptions for 18 yards and scoring 4 touchdowns on tackle-eligible plays, including one in 1984 from left-handed rookie quarterback Boomer Esiason against their upstate rival, the Cleveland Browns in Cleveland. Anthony Muñoz played in Super Bowls XVI and XXIII, both narrow losses to the San Francisco 49ers.

Anderson led Cincinnati to a 27-7 blow out win in the AFC championship game (which later became known as the Freezer Bowl) over the veteran San Diego Chargers, earning a trip to the first Super Bowl appearance in franchise history. Going into the game Bill Walsh was asked about what he thought of Anderson's career. "Everything Kenny did was perfect, the way I see it". The Bengals lost Super Bowl XVI 26-21 against the San Francisco 49ers, but Anderson had a solid performance, especially in the second half, despite his team trailing 20-0 at the end of the first half. He completed 25 of 34 passes for 300 yards and two touchdowns, with two interceptions, and gained 14 rushing yards and a touchdown on five rushing attempts. At the time, his 25 completions and 73.5% completion percentage were both Super Bowl records.
