RE: 2012 Bowman Platinum 5 case break and contest thread [CONTEST #1 CLOSED]
Case #1, Box #5
Notable colored base:
Hanley Ramirez gold
Hisashi Iwakuma gold
CC Sabathia emerald
Mariano Rivera ruby
Notable prospect parallels:
Nick Franklin refractor
Taylor Lindsey xfractor
Notable die-cut:
Ryan Braun
Bryce Harper
Notable Top Prospects:
Telvin Nash Green Refractor /399
Robbie Erlin Gold Refractor /50
Brian Brickhouse Prospect Auto
David Buchanan Blue Prospect Auto /199
J.D. Martinez Auto Relic
Grade: C
Comments: I’m not sure, but I think the best card might be the Bryce Harper die cut. Not a remarkable box, but I’m satisfied. The big news, of course, is that I pulled another blue prospect auto. It’s not the one I was looking for, but it means we have a contest leader. 20youksox picked Buchanan as the lowest numbered prospect auto, so he just needs to dodge a blue or lower and he’s the winner. I have a feeling I’m not done with low numbered autos, though, so he might need to root for the Buchanan super! Also, please note that my auto checklist was apparently wrong, as Brian Brickhouse has appeared, though he was not on my list. If an unlisted auto is the winner, we go to the tiebreak.

Comments: Solid box, plus Harper emerald and Trout gold. Lots of ways to get value in this set.
