I take issue (but not offense) to Detroit being considered an ok/fairweather baseball town. One good indicator is the fact that Detroit is in the top 2 or 3 markets in the COUNTRY for ratings of radiocasts. Seriously, a lot of people commute here and a lot of people listen to it on the radio. (I think Cincinnati is No. 1) Also, Detroit is in the top 5 in local tv ratings. Top 5! So, I think I've made the case for Detroit to be bumped out of anyone's mind as an ok/fair weather baseball city Also, I've been to about 7 other cities and I think the Comerica Park experience stacks up quite well. We've had the worst economy in the nation for about a decade and we still draw 2.5-3 million paying fans each year. Not too shabby in my book.

2) That's awesome about TV ratings...been a couple years since I took a look.
3) How was the attitude in and around Tiger baseball pre-2005, and between 2007 and the Year of Verlander?
4) Who is going to beat the Tigers this year...they are poised for a deep run, and I would imagine that the atmosphere at Comerica will be electric.
5) But a GREAT baseball town???
