ah, but he hasnt. what happened when stanton was qb? why didnt he excel then? is he that dependent on the qb and the system? cant you same the same about welker, or really, any ther receiver why, until now, hasnt he been considered a top 5 wr?

Stanton isn't a type of offense? And the Lions were PUTRID when Calvin was a rookie, and the year after. Honestly, no matter who was QB Calvin always has had decent if not good stats.

Brady & Cassel > Stafford, S.Hill, D.Stanton, D.Orlovsky, D.Culpepper.

In 2007 Calvin had a bad back, ALL SEASON, yet played thru it, basically because he had to, being Detroit's best chance at a play.

In 2008, he had 1,300 yards receiving, and 12 tds.
In 2009 (injured yet again), had over 1,000 yards receiving, and missed games.
2010 was a pro bowler.

Welter has had consistency with his QB, he has developed timing, Calvin has had several different quarterbacks throwing to him. There was no timing, just athletic ability to get him catches.
