Well, hell, if we're not going to follow the timeline rules:

You still followed the timeline rules. OP said "two have to overlap". So Moore and Morton overlap and Johnson is your wildcard.
Collect BARRY SANDERS, Tom Brady, Bama Alums and Randy Moss

Well, since guys are throwing out teams not on the poll, I'll put mine out there.

Packers:
Donald Driver
Greg Jennings
Jordy Nelson
James Jones

Yeah, that's 4, but they were all there to gether, and with them, the Packers had one of the most explosive offenses in the league. You said building a franchise, so that's what I'm thinking here. none of these guys would break the bank, together they complimented each other perfectly, and it leaves plenty of greenbacks to spend on other positions.

Fixed it for you Wink. Jennings played for the Vikings, the ultimate betrayal of a Green Bay Packer. At least Nelson and Jones had the decency to don the silver and black. I actually like this trio for you a bit more:

1988-1994 Sterling Sharpe
1995-2001 Antonio Freeman
1999-2012 Donald Driver

Sharpe was such a beast, if he hadn't gotten injured he was on his way to a hall of fame career. 5 Pro Bowls and 3 All Pros in 7 seasons.

RE: Pick your WR triplets
While out of the choices, I picked San Francisco because you can't argue with a set that includes Jerry Rice, how about an old school choice?

Philadelphia Eagles

Pete Pihos - 1947 to 1955 (Pro Football Hall of Fame)
Pete Retzlaff - 1956 to 1966 (Not in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, but in Eagles Hall of Fame, Eagles number retired, NFL Player of the Year 1965 - ranked in the Top Ten of Receptions, Yards, and touchdowns 5 times including a couple of seasons leading the NFL)
Tommy McDonald 1957-1963 (Pro Football Hall of Fame)

Obviously the numbers of players from the 1950s and 1960s won't stack up to modern numbers (when Retzlaff won the 1965 NFL Player of the Year award with 66 receptions for 1190 yards and 10 touchdowns), but when adjusted for era, that trio definitely deserves mention as one of the best wide receiver trios under the criteria given.
