That would negate all the rules and blind trading set in place. There'd be no gamble to it. If we drafted then your basically saying you expect a really desirable gift from the first few Secret Santa's and expect junk from the last Secret Santa's selected. Im not looking to put unnecessary pressure on anyone or hurt anyone's feelings. This is just supposed to be fun and have guidelines as far as what is an acceptable gift. Some people will get more than they're suppose to but they may have to work to get it, or, you can just chose to take your chances with your original number and not trade.

I'm fine with the gift being a redemption and I'm fine with moving it up if everyone else is.

I'm fine with moving it up.

I was just thinking up some what if's. If we end up seeing what each person or # is sending out, doesn't that put the receiving person of a highly desirable card into a win win situation.
The way I see it it, if sender #8 is sending out a sweet whatever card, and #1 is the to be recipient...doesn't that allow #1 to field offers that may be just as good or better for him/her?
So if trader #1 agrees to a trade with trader #20 for a sweet card or cards in exchange for the #8 Secret Santa card to trader #20, they also receive on top of the agreed card(s) traded, the Secret Santa card that originally was going to trader #20.

This is all very NHL trade deadline like. Trading stars and lower draft picks for high draft picks and vice versa

I'm ok with moving this up, just need to know the deadline for me deciding/acquiring the card for this.

All cards will be posted anonymously. You MAY be able to decipher who is sending what card out but you can never really be sure. This is where the gamble comes in. You may have looked through player "X"'s org previously and seen a rare card posted or know a player's tendencies and piece together that he MOST LIKELY is sending a specific card posted. This CAN put you in a fairly desirable position but you can't be positive that what that player is sending. And remember one half of the parties involved in the initial trade WILL NOT KNOW WHO THEY ARE GETTING IN RETURN BECAUSE THE INDIVIDUAL YOU ARE TRADING WITH WILL KNOW YOUR INFORMATION AND THERE'S NO WAY FOR YOU TO KNOW THERE'S OR VICE VERSA. This is a good time to try and get extra cards out of the deal because the first person contacting you WANTS your Secret Santa and you will not know who you are getting in return (unless they have already traded before then). Remember you can ask each other if you know who you have but you can't tell if you don't. It's really only at the second trade that the previously mentioned party may know who they have as a Secret Santa. I recommend trading with someone who knows who they have at that point.

Would you have access to a computer? All I'd need is for you to accept or send a blank trade offer (or .10 card if that wont work) to another player by the 10th. After that is the 2 week grace period for contestants to acquire/decide what they will be entering in as their card so I think you'd be all set.
