That is really odd, especially considering that is the only one they priced

RE: Question on Mike Trout pricing ?
just checked the price guide...i'm wondering why the Trout is marked so much higher than the rest of the cards in the set...Trout is marked at 120. the rest are like 5, 8 or 10.

that's got to be a typo.

Lol ..... That's what I'm saying but recent Ebay sales are getting higher ? What's up with that ?
Check out the Ebay sales ... The same bidder wins about all of them that's insane

RE: Question on Mike Trout pricing ?
here is what is happening:

it's a typo, it should be 12. someone - probably a lot seller - is buying them and selling them as part of his lots as a 120 dollar card. guarantee that is what is happening
just confirmed this with dan hitt, it will be fixed today. some lot seller is about to get screwed

Ok ....... Thanks
Was going to get more of these cards because I love the look of them but getting way out of my price range ! Could a typo cause this ... Couple of days left on this listing I guess we'll wait and see if they fix that typo someone who's bidding on this listing will be disappointed ! Wow a typo can really start a mess if someone does use the beckett online price guide

RE: Question on Mike Trout pricing ?
actually, not a typo. explanation from brian fleischer:

Thanks for your email. I can certainly see where you’d think a Trout card #’d/999 should be $12. To me, that sounds like a perfect price for a Trout card #’d/999. We’ve adjusted the price, but not down to $12…Let me explain.

When the product initially came out the card was comfortably selling in the $10-$25 range, which is where we had it priced. Then, it looks like these Elite Series Trout cards dried up on the secondary market. Trout is smoking hot and it looks like some have started to show back up on eBay. Those $35, $60, $70 and $103 and $197 (!) sales showed up in our reports just this week so we raised the card to $60-$120 just days ago. eBay wasn’t reacting to our price, rather we reacted to the sales on eBay. After reexamining our market information, we decided that $30-$80 is probably a better value for the card right now, but we will be keeping an on this and all of Trout’s cards in the coming weeks.

and all that said, i give you the example of the trout gatorade card, which went from 150 to 120 to 40 to 30 in about 3 months
