Just scored my very first 1/1 !!!
The down side is, its a printing plate. I have never been much of a fan of these and didn't think I would ever by one. But that was before I tried to super collect a player. My ultimate goal is to get 1 of every card of this player(RC year only) so that means I need any 1/1 i can get my hands on. So anyways I just picked this one up on the bay. I think I did well for a 1/1 RC even if its a plate. If I had to pick a plate it would be the black version which this one is so I pretty happy at the moment. Tell me if you think I over payed. Either way I will be happy but I am knew to buying 1/1 so any comments are welcome.

That's not just a plain plate though. Has a nice frame & it's auto'd. It's a nice card.

I'd say for a 1 of 1 of a decent player's rookie card/auto, you probably paid a fair price IMO. I really like those particular plates though, so for a plate at least you got one of the nicer ones out there! Good goin'!

I'm not a huge fan of the press plates myself either though everytime I see a Mario one I seem to buy/trade for it! The ones with frames (like the 2006 Ultimate Collection and others) though do look a WHOLE lot better than the plain metal ones, and hey its your favorite player, it is after all a #1/1 though really I think the plates are #1/4 (just different colors) but non the less you got yourself a SWEET new card for your GORE collection!! Nice pickup!

honestly it doesnt even look like a plate to me, more like a portrait black/white. Wished they all looked that great, nice addition.
