Older fun sets to collect...
#11

RE: Older fun sets to collect...
I once was determined to complete a 1993 Finest Refractor set. It got to become too expensive for me. After about 56 cards and 2 years trying to put the set together I was faced with having to find a place of my own to live. I was just fresh out of high school.
I might still try for it again one day.

Thank you to petesahuttt!!! I can FINALLY scratch off that '93 Fleer set. After all these years, I thought I'd never get those last few.

1975 Topps (400/660)

Have been trying to complete this for sometime since it is my birth year. Once that is complete I am turning to the 1976 set.

Also collecting these insert sets--mainly because they include cards of most of the stars of the 90s and I remember pulling them when I was collecting as a kid and they were the coolest cards ever!!

-1995 Studio Platinum (25/25--waiting on the last few in the mail)
-1996 Score All-Stars (15/20--75%)
-1996 Fleer Update Diamond Tribute (3/10)
Yeah I know what you mean, I still have a soft spot for 94 collectors choice. Loved getting those gold and silver autos as a kid
Topps Master Set Builder, Dodgers and Mike Piazza Collector as well.

RE: Older fun sets to collect...
I have a new one to add. My uncle wanted to open some product with me, knowing that I know what I'm doing and he hadn't opened anything in almost a decade. I thought we'd both enjoy something older instead of the current stuff. We both put in $40 each, so I split that with 1 box each of 1998 Series 2 stuff (Bowman's Best-mostly a bust & Finest Jumbo-was pretty good to us). He recently told me to keep everything and put his money into another box for us to open. Anyway, I have been combining everything we pulled and found out that I am 6 cards short for one of these sets.
If anyone has any 1998 Finest Series 2 (cards 151-275), I need the following to complete the set/series:
#187 - Todd Zeile
#197 - Gary Gaetti
#204 - Dean Palmer
#217 - Jorge Posada
#220 - Steve Finley
#236 - Ellis Burks

If anyone has these, I would love to trade for them. I am too close to completing this series to let it go incomplete. I have duplicates/no-protector parallels AND refractors to trade for them as well. Anyone that can help, PLZ send a TO or PM!
