This card is graded BGS 9.5 but has NO serial number...Does anyone know if this was a promo or?...Mike

Fleer went out of business about this time and sold off a ton of it's inventory that generally doesn't get released.  Be very suspicious of any of this product because people promote the sales of these items without mentioning that serial numbers are missing.  It could also be conceivable that some of these cards released without serial numbers could be forged and passed on as if it were seral numbered.
If you're a fan of the player, then it's a great way to pick up a hard find or a "one of ten" type parallel.  But don't pay the premium price like it's authentic.

(To anyone who knows more about this at length: this would make a great opportunity to create a Beckettpedia article for those known sets.)

Thanks for the info...The BGS label clearly states "Missing Serial Number" so I figured since they graded it this way that there had to be more than one...Mike
