Lou Marson is very good. I would say he is the best catching prospect in baseball. Happ is eh and Carrasco will be good, but not great.

Whaaaaa???

Well I forgot about Wieters, but apart from that who else would you rank above him?

For arguments sake....

Wieters, Montero, Bryan Anderson, Wellington Castillo, Max Ramirez, Taylor Teagarden, Jeff Clement, Skipworth, Buster Posey, and others.

Could all be in THE DISCUSSION if only because he's just finally having a breakout now.

But i'm a big fan of his, since he's doing it at AA.

Exactly. A lot of those guys have huge potentials but they can all fizzle out. Marson looks ready. Wieters and maybe Teagarden are ahead of the pace. Max Rameriz too since he is in the majors.

Nick

I say negative things vs you, when they need to be said. This was clearly a case of that.

Carrasco is overrated, mediocre at best, and the other two are crap.

That is completely idiotic.

Lou Marson is a future big league catcher and all star. Clearly, you don't know your prospects like you think you do.

Thanks for the input! I really could care less what you think of me. You must have a grudge against me or something because you always have something to say against me. Its all good though, Ill just continue laughing at you.

Notice how I never quote you? Thats because I not have to prove anything to punks like you.

In all fairness, you did make yourself look like a moron by saying the other 2 are crap. Just because you haven't heard of them, doesn't make them crap. Marson is one of the best catchers in the minors.

True! Great talent, skill and potential! He would actually be a great fit for the Phillies, which is why I wonder why they would trade them, as they have lost a lot of depth in their minors system, with Cardenas, Outman, and others gone

Fans of the other NL East teams must have that feeling when a bolt of lightening comes close and the crack of thunder makes you flinch.

I am not buying it one bit. He is in his 4th year and finally showing some potential. Where was he the last 3 years? 60 games isn't enough for me to say he is the best catcher in the minors. AND that wouldn't be saying much anyway, since their is only one stud catcher in the minors, Wieters.....

I haven't seen anyone mention Salome. These are my top five.

1) Wieters
2) Salome
3) Posey (would have ranked him 2nd but he hasn't played a game yet. Salome gets the nod.)
4) Ramirez
5) Teagarden

ugh, people dont look at numbers before typing. If you look at Marsons last 3 years you'd see a slow development, which believe it or not is normal for catchers. He is by no means the best catcher in the minors but what you're seeing is the development of a potentially solid major leaguer.

I did....

But I like that list although I like Marson more than Ramirez and Tegarden; Posey is an unknown quantity right now, so I will wait on that one.
