Box of 2001 topps Archives Reserve
Saw it in the store and decided to pull the trigger on it. Box comes with one mini helment auto, rookie reprint auto and two rookie rookie reprint relics. I really liked the idea of pulling some nice HOF autos or jsy cards and went ahead and laid down the coin. Onto the break. Scans to come later so check back.
The packs lay on top of the helment so I started with them.

Several nice base cards were hit; Walter Payton, Red Grange, Johnny U, Paul Hornung, Otto Graham, Barry Sanders, Joe Montana, etc, etc.

The rookie reprint auto was not one of the big names by any means, Terry Metcalf, but it is a very nice on card sig. Nice to see one actually on the card and not on a sticker that someone at the plant placed on poorly.

The two rookie reprint relics are nice cards, Barry Sanders one color in the number 20, and a Joe Montana one color in the number 16.

The mini helment comes wraped in black plastic. I was hoping for something nice since the reprint auto had left more to be desired. After peeling away to see what was hidden in there I saw it was a Browns helment and knew right away. Upon flipping it to the other side to confirm it, I saw the largerst sig on a mini I have come across of Jim Brown. It looks very sharp and I am very happy with it.

Sorry this turned out to be such a long read, but thought some of you might like it. If you have any comments (the good, the bad, or the ugly) I would like to hear them. I will try and get scans up soon if anyone would like to see them. Thanks for the look and happy breaks to ya.

Ouch!!! That seems pretty expensive for a mini helmet auto and some cards. But, on the other hand, it's better than throwing down that much $ on a few boxes and getting crap in return.

Yeah, it was a little pricey. I have been tired of spending $$$ on newer products and getting what I thought was just decent autos though. I figured I could still get the rush of opening a product and possibly get somethings I would really appreciate of past players. Thanks for the comment though (and this is not ment to take a shot at you).
