I hope the NHL does a good job reducing goalie equipment this offseason...that'll be the last time anyone mentions Giguere as a top 15 goalie in the league, much less #2...please NHL, please reduce this needlessly "fluffy" equipment...

Truth be told, it'll probably dock Roberto Luongo a bit too, at least he has the talent to adjust though...Giguere, well, not so much...

Luongo is the best active goalie besides Brodeur.

He is NOT overrated. The only reason why the spotlight and attention is on him is simply because he is in a Canadian city. If he and Nabby were to trade places, he will even be better than Nabby by far. Being in Vancouver creates a bigger hype for Luongo that is why people begin to say he is overrated when he has an off game. Luongo can carry the whole team on his shoulders while many many goalies cannot.

Marty is a FREAK. A once or twice in a generation netminder.

#2 changes from year to year, depending on the teams built around them, strength of schedule, playoff success, hometown bias. Too many factors to come up with a deinitive #2

Nabby, Lundy, Luongo, Kipper, Miller, Turco, and Giggy all can stake a claim on that #2 goalie position.

Heck, even Fleury, Price, Vokoun, Niklas Backstrom and even Pascal Leclaire have an argument depeding on what you are using to evaluate the #2 goatender in the entire league. That just shows how DOMINANT Marty was for the past 10-12 years. Just SICK. He nearly ruined the game of hockey as we know it because less talented teams in the watered down league tried to adopt the Devils style of play leading to some of the WORST hockey to watch EVER. He has even been able to post STEALLAR numbers in the post lockout seasons having lost NEARLY EVERY TOP DMAN he had, proving to all that it is MORE than the system.
