Obviously for those who picked scrub prospects in 07 (those that haven't taken off quite like Taylor) they are showing some bitterness & trying to mention everything under the sun as to "why he won't succeed" or "he's too tall, no one can bat when they're 6'6"...6'4"-6'5" is alright, but 6'6"-No way" (that was in the last thread, for those whom missed it) . The facts are that this is his "1st Year" in A-ball (as he completed college, therefore his age shouldn't be that big of a concern because it is not like he has been in pro ball since he was 18-19 year's old, this is his 1st year! ) This guy is pure talent & the only thing that will silence the "hater's" on the board will be his continued success & advancement (haha & even then I'm sure they will find something to post about..haha, steroids maybe? )

Well to be honest with you. your continue hype of him is sickening. I don't mean to be rude to you because you seem like a nice guy but it is ridiculous lately.

Well ya know super dave, I listen to some people on this board as to thier opinion of ball players. You are not one of them. The general consensus on Taylor is to wait and see what he does vs appropriate competition. Until then you are simply guessing.

I personally like these posts! They outline my favorite player and makes it an interesting read in the difference of opinions of BMB members.

Of course you like his post. Comon, that would be like me liking a post about someone talking positively about Jason Heyward (who is age appropriate for his league by the way)

It miscounted somewhere along the line (i'm at 62 , maybe 1 or 2 more, but I am almost certain there will be more; assuming that this is a free message board & I am entitled to use it Tongue )

As for you Gilmore, you have the guessing part right (that's all prospecting really is, you throw in statistical data here, ah pinch of some comparative analysis there, take a while for each individual to digest it & voila- you've got a prospector (I use this label very loosely considering there are new one's born every minute)...the big downside to this is you can throw the exact same data at several different "prospector's" & most likely each one of those "prospector's" are going to speculate different things...we're all guessing Gilly (if you think otherwise you've got an inferiority complex)

To Ryanhoward06- "Tough"

That is a common misconception. Prospecting is not guessing. I do not have an infeiority complex, you just don't know how this little game is played. Have you seen ANYTHING on Taylor other than a stat sheet? I sure as hell have, and from watching Taylor live I can say from a first hand account that he does not impress me.

As some say..."You can't go wrong with that gut feeling!"

Taylor is definitely a Major Prospect and a lot of people have just begun to see why! Big Grin Big Grin
