Can Topps Recreate 90's Inserts?

Is there an agreement with defunct card companies that stop Topps from putting out inserts similar to 1990's inserts by Ultra and Pacific?
Would be much preferred to stupid color parallels of the same card, right?! 
I think Panini owns the rights to Pacific and I know UD has the Fleer stuff. But they could bring back something like Hall Bound or their 1997 Topps Chrome All-Stars. Maybe even god forbid come up with something new. But no let's just put inserts of 1984 or 87 Topps, that'll do.
Another problem is player choice. They brought back Finest The Man insert but most of them are rookies. I don't think anyone thinks of Keston Hiura or Carter Kieboom and says "he's the man". I get it it's all about rcs but let's give some love to collectors and vets. |
