Furthermore, there was no reason for your to bring up socialism in the first place - it would have been totally nonsensical in the context of people stealing even if you used the word correctly.
I literally quoted the definition for you from one of my sociology textbooks I have in my office. It was not some "distorted snarl definition that was designed to scare people for political purposes." LOL What a joke.

What's nonsensical is you not seeing the logic behind theories of human entitlement and theft. There is proven correlation.

But it doesn't fit YOUR political agenda, so YOU inject politics into it. How ironic.

Interesting. You would think you'd have a better understanding of the fact that there are various concepts of what socialism means then. Because Debs was certainly of a different stripe of socialism than others. No doubt about that.

I wonder if I have Eugene V. Debs' rookie card somewhere?

Anyway, gentlemen, can we talk about something more fun, like Hobby Doosh Bags?

Remember when this forum was all about baseball.

I miss those days.
I collect Hall of Fame baseball player cards and cards of current and retired superstars.

Personally, I would argue that neither Socialism or Capitalism has much meaning anymore.  And a large part of the reason why is that much of what many old school Socialists were seeking were reforms of capitalism - much of which of occurred with the develop of a modern mixed economy for better or worse.   If you advocate for either today, you're really advocating for a mixture of the two concepts.
