This is an old topic that I haven't visited in some time with Beckett users. Has anyone ever seen the card in the subject? I have seen the base and the Gold but never the Silver. Beckett lists a supposed market value for the card but in 16+ years since the set release I have never seen one sold on eBay or anywhere else.
In 2005 after attempts through trade group and forums turned up no information, I finally called Topps and after a long pause to check with 'the back', the person on the phone said the Silver cards must not have been returned by the player. This is odd that the Black base cards and the Gold card were returned but not the Silver. If this is true how does Becket have market information on the Silver version?
Any info would be great and if you have a Rick Rickert SILVER parallel #'d/249, please let me know.
