Hello...If I have the following sub grades on a card why would the final grade be only 8.5...should be at least a 9.0....no?

Centering: 9.5
Edges: 9.5
Corners: 8.5
Surface: 8.5

Graded: BGS 8.5 NM-MT+

Any insight is greatly appreciated.

My guess is that they place more emphasis on the corners and surface than they do the edges and centering, hence the grade getting weighted down to an 8.5.

Perhaps those with more grading experience have better insight.

That would make sense...I checked out the website and there were some examples but still seemed a bit confusing...anytime I hear or read the word "algorithm" I stop paying attention LOL...thanks!
