I am currently putting together my first vintage set ( '71 Topps), and have an opinion question. I may at some point sell the set once it's together, but am pondering whether it's a better selling point to have well centered cards with a slightly dinged corner or two, or have cards that are off center (60/40 or 70/30) with sharp corners. Opinions??

Vintage set building question

I think sharp corners are harder to come by because the centering won't change over time.
I appreciate Chicago players that begin competing within the city's sports organizations and stay with these teams throughout their careers.

Collecting 2010 Bowman, 80s oddball rookies, and '89 Griffeys.
I just finished my 1971 topps set two days ago. Yeah. It was a very fun set to work with. The black boarders make it a very difficult set with the condition. My set is close to nrmt as possible. I need about 19 upgrades, fun that should be. I would go with the best looking cards as possible
I want great centering. Do any of us use miocroscopes to look at people's cards
60/40 or 70/30 is not bad centering, so if you are opting between perfect centering with bad corners or centering no worse than 70/30 with sharp corners then I would definitely go with the sharp corners. The focus of best looking should be for the main cards in the set. Don't get a bunch of gem mint commons and then have a beat up Nolan Ryan, as that would hurt the value of the set more.
Collecting John Stockton, Karl Malone, Ivan Rodriguez, Gary Carter & UF player rookie year cards. Plus Jedd Gyorko rookie and prospect cards.
