Your Favorite Card Design(s)

Your Favorite Card Design(s)
I know we all have a few... here are a few of mine:

[Image: 2001-SP-Authentic-087_large.gif?v=1449077462]
2001 SP Authentic
Possibly my favorite of all-time. I like clean/minimalist designs and this set almost feels like it was purposefully designed for TTM autographs. The early 00s were a golden age for sports card design, and Upper Deck was the leader of the pack.

1990 Pro Set
The first pack of cards I ever opened. A very basic design based on team colors, but also one of the earliest sets to not feature wrap-around borders. Less is more!

I'm sure I will think of more... share yours!

RE: Your Favorite Card Design(s)
Growing up I loved the Action Packed sets. The raised card design and gold borders is one of my favorites.

For inserts 1993 Topps Black Gold cards are close, but pretty much anything Finest Refractor related takes the medal home. Not the modern green/blue/red/white/black/gold/yellow/mosaic/pulsar/xfractor/superfractor either, just the original plain jane rainbow refractor.

For memorabilia cards it's 2000 Playoff Absolute Leather and Laces. I don't know why the triangle pieces call to me, but they do!

Finishing up with autograph cards, in a similar vein to your nod of 2001 SP Authentic I would submit 1999 Upper Deck Retro's Inkcredible. All on-card autos with a mix of the legendary and the mostly forgotten with a nice gray border and easy to see signature that leaves the player plenty of room to sign.

Don't have pics handy at the sec, but last years base National Treasures, 2005 Rookies and Stars, and 1999 Upper Deck MVP were my favorites I think.

I like many of the 1990s insert sets from Pacific (always thought they were the leader in unique card designs). The Crown Pro Bowl inserts especially 1997 is nice.
With 20+ years collecting, this is the most comprehensive single player collection in the world! Beckett lists 4000+ cards - I'm at 95% completion!

Speaking of premiere, this is probably my favorite design & card in my collection. I guess since it was advertised so much in 06' that it was something that I always really wanted, but a sweet design non the less! Big Grin

Its hard to choose but I always liked everything from 1999 Upper Deck MVP. I sometimes wish I put the master together.

I also like shiny and die cut stuff as well.

And these are sweet!!! I wish I could have each version of each Phin from 1996 Ultra Sensations. Here are my ZTs:

Still need the rainbow version

A friend of mine way back in the day got the rainbow version of Barry Sanders (his favorite player) and I was so pissed as I wanted the rainbow version of Marino. Thats probably how my love for this set became to grow over the years. Sadly I still dont have the rainbow version of Marino to this day.
Unique Cards:
Dolphins - 6000+
Marino - 2140
Zach Thomas - 869
Jason Taylor - 749
Lamar Miller - 341
