So I was at the Nationals and really wanted to grade both my 1996 Leaf Preferred Steel Bronze Promos of Jeter and Griffey and didn't want to leave them there so I asked for same day and $75.00 was way too much for me to grade a card that is a PC item and the other is for trade or sale. Getting it slabbed Authentic was only $35.00 each so I was more than willing to pay that. But I noticed a lot of people while waiting for my cards were getting the raw grade first. What's the price difference and benefits of doing that? I am guessing it's cheaper and you can slab the grades you like and leave the others alone. I might have to try this out as I have quite a few Jeter doubles and would like the keep the higher graded and sell the lower graded but I am no expert when it comes to looking at the conditions of the cards I can see all the flaws on corners and edges but my issue would be centering and surface.
