odd question, not sure if it's been asked but I have noticed there are cards with the numbering on the back in red ..... are these a variation ?

No, it's not a variation. Just the odd way they did the numbers this year. They are rather random. They also have a dark blue which is very hard to see compared to the black. But no, there are no numbering variations.
