I decided to take a trip back in time and opened a 2011 Topps Lineage box and a 2013 Topps Archives hobby box after I got a good deal on them.
One card easily paid for both boxes: 2011 Topps Lineage Autographs Gold Canary Diamond Carl Erskine numbered to 10.
Erskine is one of the last surviving members of the 1955 Brooklyn Dodgers World Series team along with Sandy Koufax and Don Newcombe.
It's a beauty of a card. The 20-game winner has a street in Brooklyn named after him. I could be open to buy offers at the right price.
I also got a Johnny Groth Topps Lineage auto out of the deal. Groth, who is also still alive, was a Tigers outfielder in the 50's. He had a cannon of an arm and twice led the league in assists and double plays from center field.
My Archives box came with two autos: Darrel Evans and Mickey Rivers. I also got a Stan Musial gold #/199, Josh Hamilton Triumverate and a Derek Jeter Gallery of Heroes. I am marking those for trade.
