1. Niners up 20-17, 5:27 to go. Jones knocks down a pass at the line of scrimmage intended for Kittle who was "covered" by old man Suggs. Would have been a for sure first down and more time/timeouts killed for KC.

2. Jones pressured Garoppolo on his first half interception

3. Jones stopped Mostert early in the 4th, allowing 1 yard on the play. Chiefs defense was 1.5 yards better in rushing allowed when Jones was on the field vs off.

4. Jones had back to back passes defended on the 49ers second to last drive (and last meaningful drive) on first and second down.

RE: Ongoing Super Bowl MVP thread
I found one of the coolest cards yet to date! I'd never heard or seen something like this, so I was super pumped to make this the card for SB XXXI! I paid a rather crazy amount in my opinion, and it got shipped terribly, but it made it safe and sound, and I think it was worth it.
Desmond Howard/Dave Meggett SB Game Ball 1997 Collector's Edge, the two return specialists for the game.

Desmond Howard was named MVP. He's the only special teams player to date to win the award. With the Packers up 27-21, Howard returned a Kickoff 99yrds for a TD to extend the lead. This was the longest play at the time, in the Super Bowl history. He also set a couple other records in the game: Longest Scoring Play, Longest Kick Return, Highest Kick Return Average (38.5), Most Punt Return Yards in a Game (90). He also tied a few, Most Combined Yardage in a Game (244), KR TDs in a Game (1), Punt Returns in a Game (6)(also done in the same game by his counterpart, Dave Meggett). It's something that will probably never happen again now that QBs will win no matter what other players do (cough, James White and Tom Brady, cough).
I love these game ball cards, even more than a cool autograph when it comes to these! Kurt Warner and Dexter Jackson, both of whom I have, also have game balls, and I know there are a Peyton Manning and Ray Lewis as well. Someday, I hope I can afford the kidney's it'll take to add those as well! Super cool card!

I'm honestly surprised that any card with Dave Meggett on it is going for any money at all now

He is currently serving 30 years in prison for rape and abduction. https://www.espn.com/nfl/news/story?id=5789655

That sort of thing tends to lower demand for players.

It's a neat card though.

In addition to posting cards, I'm going to start doing videos on the SB MVPs. My first attempt is here. Not the most creative, but I'll try to do better next time. I'd like to come up with a couple unique tidbits to make it entertaining while showing off Smile Subscribe for more!
