Card Show Last Weekend - Stadium Club & Project Addition

Card Show Last Weekend - Stadium Club & Project Addition
I went to the Fans Authentic show in Rosemont last weekend and was happy to see a lot more cards there than last year. I would say 80% was vintage, which I know nothing about, but I love looking anyways. My only major issue was almost everyone selling modern didn't have their cards organized in any way. Monster boxes that said $2 per card not sorted at all! Some even had multiple sports. How hard is it to sit your kids in front of the tv and tell them to sort by team? I don't have time to sort through your boxes for you so I probably bought a lot less than I would have. The guys with teams sorted did get a ton of business from me though so thanks!

I managed to pick up one auto for my 2009 Yankees auto set - pitching coach Dave Eiland. I was actually very pumped that I found this since he has no certified autos. The guy was selling a ton of IP autos and thought I was nuts for getting excited for a $2 Dave Eiland...

I also picked up a box of Stadium Club to work on my set. I absolutely love this stuff and will probably buy one more at some point. I am putting together the base and Field Access sets so if you've got any to trade, my wants are all marked. All the stuff below will be FT. SUPER happy with the autos.

Rainbow Foils, gold, inserts, and DAVE!

More inserts and autos. Very happy with the Vizquel!

Great pick ups! Congrats on the Dave Eiland card. How far along are you on your 2009 Yankee Auto quest?

I guess if I saved used tinfoil and used tea bags instead of old comic books and old baseball cards, the difference between a crazed hoarder and a savvy collector is in that inherent value.

Doc, I'm at 13/52 on the Yankee project. 25% isn't bad for just picking them up casually here and there. All the big boys are left for last, and I'm having some fun trying to find autos of guys that don't have certified autos like Eiland. I figure this will take me forever but what else do I have to do with my time?
