I just busted a box and got one auto and a printing plate. Is the printing plate suppose to replace the 2nd auto or should I being contacting Topps about the non 2nd auto?

Definitely complain to Topps. They have a form online for missing hits. You have to email scans of the UPC and receipt. The plate does not make up for the missing auto.
