Quick question for the hardcore player collectors: do you only collect the Beckett listed cards of your player or do you also go after the unlisted stuff as well (Not counting things like miscuts or missing foil items and the like)?

I do have the cards not listed in beckett such as the Blank Backs Uncut Proofs.

Yeah, I see it now that you pointed it out. The BGS 9 Mirror Gold doesn't even have a refractor line that bad.

I seen that as soon as it was listed and mentioned to Dave how it could get a PSA 10 grade he said it depends on the grader and he might not of took off anything for it. I would love to see the grades it would get from SGC and beckett. Even the SGC 96 Mirror Gold that sold for 18K a few months ago was way off centered to the point it looks like my PSA 8 Mirror Blue. My PSA 10 copy of my Mirror Blue looks perfect and the major reason I like beckett grades over the other graders they give you the sub-grades. My 1996 Mirror Blue Roberto Alomar got a BGS 9.5 and had two 10 grades and one 9.5, and 9.0. Highest graded from any of his Mirror Blue cards and to think I bought it for $10.00 a few years ago was a steal.

I only collect from the beckett checklist unless its something unlisted thats dirt cheap. Otherwise its difficult to keep up with everything unisted.
