So what happens when you give Harv a premier membership and a 10% discount off his next order at a major online card store? Harv goes buck wild and orders a veritable poop ton of stuff! So much so that he actually runs out of penny sleeves and toploaders (oops, another order, I guess). Also, he gets a lot of cool hits...so many that he has to pick & choose his way down to a mere 39 highlights, instead of the 106 images he just dumped into his bucket. And then he starts typing in the third person and things get all loopy. Anyway...
First up: "free" packs of 2012 Bowman retail. Nothing terribly exciting here, but I did pick up these two quarterbacks who might just have a future in the NFL:
Andrew Luck Accolades Insert:
Robert Griffin III Rookie:
Then we move on to a box of 2010 Topps Chrome that actually came from an eBay auction, but it got here at the same time so one break. The rookie auto was less than thrilling, even (especially) for a Ravens fan, but:
David Reed Rookie Auto:
Did get some other cool cards from the box, though:
Joe Montana Rookie Reprint (he looks like he was 16):
Jason Pierre-Paul rookie refractor:
Gronk Bowman Chrome Rookie Preview:
Moving on to a box of 2011 Contenders, which was pretty "meh" save for two (three?) nice hits...
Jordan Cameron Rookie Ticket:
Jake Locker Rookie Ticket (on-card auto):
...and this thing, which might turn out to be a Kyle Rudolph Rookie Ticket, except for that whole pesky expiration thing:
I went ahead and submitted it anyway, figuring the worst they could do was say no.
Now, on to the good stuff. Panini Black has been my favorite set of the year, and this box was also good to me:
Mario Williams eBay 1/1:
Dion Jordan Onyx Materials (129/299):
Manti Te'o Onyx Materials (279/299):
Stedman Bailey Onyx Prime Signatures (97/99):
Le'Veon Bell Metal Rookies:
Aaron Dobson Rookie Materials Jumbo Prime (5/10):
But, wait! The best card is yet to come...
...eventually. That's also an /10.
Then, on to 2013 Topps Museum Collection. This product has not been good to me at all this season, so of course I decided to buy a box of it as well. It was a little better this time:
RGIII Canvas Collection:
Cordarrelle Patterson Sapphire (47/99):
Drew Brees Pro Bowl Jumbo Relic (65/75):
Andre Ellington Rookie Quad Relics (51/75):
Shane Vereen Signature Swatches (17/80):
...and this little baby, which just happens to be the case hit:
DeAndre Hopkins Gold-Framed Auto (7/10):
But we haven't even gotten into the Spectra...ahhh, the Spectra. The beautiful, sexy, if-it-was-a-woman-it-would-be-out-of-my-league Spectra. How I love the Spectra...
Rookie autos, anyone?
C.J. Anderson (63/299):
Johnthan "When it came to names he got an A-" Banks (269/299):
Eric Fisher (291/299):
Tyler Bray Red (10/25):
Non-autographed Redness?
Darren McFadden Red (2/25):
Or perhaps Blue is your color?
Peyton Manning Blue (56/99):
Maybe something in a blue insert?
Mike Glennon Rookie Revolution (24/49):
Just a plain, vanilla insert?
Arian Foster City Limits (16/99):
But jersey-numbered?
DeAndre Hopkins Rookie Revolution (10/99):
Or did you want a piece of the actual jersey with that?
Ray Rice/Joe Flacco (227/299):
Kendall Wright (37/299):
Redskins fan?
Leonard Hankerson (229/299):
Ryan Kerrigan Blue (20/99):
RGIII (2/99):
Or did you want to combine the auto with the jersey?
Le'Veon Bell Blue (28/49):
Chris Gragg Gold (3/10):
Because any of those cards, you can has for the right trade.
But the Hall of Fame on-card auto, you no can has:
Frank Gifford 50th Anniversary Auto (29/50):
Did I mention that I love Spectra?
Sorry for such a long post, but...cards. Pretty, pretty cards.
