I have been playing this darn game and completely addicted, all my spare time is spent playing on S7gaming.com server.

Kinda, you will respawn but you will not have anything that you had when you died unless you get back to your body and pick it all up which is not very hard but not easy either. You start over when you die but the MOD version you pretty much have to play on 1 server where all your stuff is because they do not transfer to other servers. Standalone version is hive based so it goes with you but I have not heard anything good about that version. Now if you have a safe everything in there is still there just whats on your body or if you bought a vehicle and someone swooped in to loot your body. Its a very fun game!


Rust I think is another game like this but dont care for it from what I heard about it. Dayz Epoch is all about missions, bandits and zombies!

Isn't the average life expectancy on Day-Z something like 2.5 hours still. I've been wanting to try it but never got around to buying Arma 2 and installing the mod. Been waiting for a fully polished up standalone to come out.

Naw I have gone days without dying and when I did it was because I did something stupid. Arma 2 and Arrowhead are on steam along with the Dayz Mod download.

Standalone is out on Steam but I recommend the mod, it requires Arma 2 and Arma 2 Arrowhead, install both of those launch each game then download Dayz Mod and install it. Once you have those then get Dayz Commander which will update your Arma 2 and Dayz mod software to the newest one. If you want to play on the server I am playing on you need to install the Epoch mod 1.0.4 [1.0.4.2 is out]
