So I just passed the 200-trade mark not too long ago ... and maybe a quarter of them have been with my main man Phillies_Joe.
I was impressed with the very first trade we made last year, when he sent me a 2012 Topps Update Mike Trout All-Star gold sparkle card in a magnet holder.
I was like, wow, this guy is a pro.
Honest, trustworthy, mint cards, fast shipper, and usually good for a freebie or six.
Well, flash forward to our latest trade.
Here is the stuff I actually traded for:
Now, Trout, Pweeg and Harper are my three main individual player PCs — really reaching out on a limb there, I know — but my true baseball love is the Detroit Tigers.
I was born in Michigan and still have family back there.
Before he passed, my legally blind grandpa used to walk across the street to the mall (built many decades after his house, LOL), and go to the free signings that they used to have for some of the older Tigers.
I have two Mark Fidrych autographs that I wouldn't trade for anything in the world.
Suffice it to say, I am always on the lookout for quality Tigers cards.
Well, I got my end of our trade in the mail today, and Joe went ahead and threw this in for me:
Believe me, Joe is now on the "Phillies for life" program ... basically anything Phillies I pull is headed his way.
My sincerest thanks to an AWESOME member — Phillies_Joe!
And no, it is absolutely not for sale or trade.
