He also played for the San Fran. Seals in the Pacific league went 8 and 5 and mom said something about him playing for the Browns but can't find anything there. Thanks for looking guys. And Congrats Hittin on finding your great great uncle's stuff

Leroy played for the Seals as well so it looks like they were teammates, which is pretty awesome! Here is an article about when Leroy was traded to the Reds while he was with the Seals.

Maybe something will pop up about Newkirk through some newspapers. I also do genealogy has a hobby so finding things like this is always fun.

That is neat. As a collector, I don't think there anything better than to have someone in the family to collect.
