Another state harder to filter is how many 1/1 cards. While my boy Pedroia has 448 plates he also has 150+ 1/1 cards and I believe just over 2000 of his cards have serial numbers. Yes it gets ridiculous, but I have fun with it.

The OPG has 6,564 Ryan Howard "items" of which 931 or 7.5% are plates. The longer a player is around, thier plate-to-card % will drop. So just hang in there about 5 more years and your % should drop also.

Pulling my 1st plate was awesome, but that lasted about 1 day. I currently own zero plates and hopefully it will stay that way. I'm a card collector, not a plate collector (but that's just me, no judgement here on others likes)...now if they were giving the press that made the card away.............

I'm with you 100% believe me, I don't collect 1/1's anymore except for the rainbow I'm trying to put together.
I think the plates and 1/1's are out of control.
