i have been noticing that dominique wilkins' 86-87 fleer rc graded by psa or bgs have been selling for a lot higher than olajuwon, barkley, ewing... why is that anyone have any idea?

Most likely because it is more "condition sensitive" than the others that you have listed. A lot of the Dominique's I have seen from that set have really bad centering issues from top to bottom, most likely because when they were cut from the bottom of the sheet when at the presses in Philadelphia.
