Musty smelling cards?
Hey everyone.
I have just a bit of a random question for you all: I recently purchased 50,000 or so cards from craigslist from a collector, but after bringing them home, i noticed they were a little musty smelling. Cards are in good shape and were never wet, but smell like they have been sitting in a basement for ever.
Do any you know of a way where i can help alleviate some of the musty smell without damaging or discoloring the cards?

Spread them all out and to alleviate the stench. Have baking soda around to soak up the smell. Might take a few weeks.

Pour baking soda on them? Could i just put them in a tote....and then get a couple fridge boxes of soda?

I think that's what he meant. Have the baking soda in the general area of the cards.

The bright side is they don't smell like poop.

I always try to look at the bright side or at least non-poop side of things.

Lol. Some are in a tote with a couple boxes of baking soda, the others are with some downy sheets...my place smells good with the downy sheets, girlfriend thinks I cleaned, so I wont complain
