Do a quick search on COMC and you'll see what those top cards are and how many are on there.
I got back into the hobby about 3-4 years ago after an approx. 8-9 year hiatus and shortly after went thru my collection from when I was a kid/young teen. There were 4 relatively high BV cards that I had decided needed to be put in screwdown holders instead of regular toploaders:
1) 1985 McGwire RC 2) 1992 TT Nomar RC 3) 1998 Fleer Update JD Drew RC .....and.... 4) 1994 Topps Traded Ben Grieve RC hahaha all of these have dropped quite a bit from the late 90s! One the other hand, there were a couple of nice "finds" such as a 1997 Bowman Chrome Halladay RC Refractor and the 1992 Bowman Mariano RC was worth a lot more. Very disappointing 11-12 UD Hockey w/ YGs: 438/500 (88%) DO NOT TRADE LIST: chargers2427, mrmagnum75
I'd go with anyone who had Alex Gordon Bowman Chrome stuff, also David Wright I remember when his BC Gold Refractor was $5000 and his Xfractor was $1000. As for the back dooring causing the value to go down.
My best pull ever was a 1997 Leaf Fractal Matrix Y Axis Die Cut (Or something along those lines) it was I believe $750 when I pulled it a couple years later its not even a tenth of that probably not a twentieth. Luckily I moved it and it had a huge thing to do with me building the collection I have today.
If you have less than 20 feedback you're sending first.

Well...I know what it is...but I don't think it means the same in this situation 11-12 UD Hockey w/ YGs: 438/500 (88%) DO NOT TRADE LIST: chargers2427, mrmagnum75
Only backdooring I know is not what we should be talking on this site.
I pulled an Arod road to 500 1/1 auto the first week 2007 topps was released. I held onto it, sent it to BGS and sold it this year for $175. Had I sold it at that time I probably coudve gotten $500+ ? Who knows
