Tebow to the Jaguars? NOPE.........

Tebow to the Jaguars? NOPE.........
David Caldwell the new GM basically stated that he isn't even interested in having Tebow on the Jags as a QB, that Tebow's playing style is not good enough for the NFL, let alone as a Starting QB.

It was said back before he was drafted that he was not and never would be Starting QB material, and basically the Bronco's used him as their "Token Eskimo", and yea, he did have some nice come back wins, but he never was considered for the starting job.

RE: Tebow to the Jaguars? NOPE.........
Well I live in Jacksonville and what's sad about that is when the Jags had a winning team way back in the day the selling of tickets was a problem. And always will be. And even if this new GM comes in and makes it to the playoffs in his first or second year the seats in that stadium will never fill. If the seats don't fill the Jaguars are gone. Just in the business I am in I could name 100+ people that would repurchase regular/season tickets if Tebow was brought back. Yes he may not even make starter or even second string but for the sake of keeping the seats full just by picking up a third string QB for little of money probably would not hurt. But who am I right...just a guy that isn't buying tickets for a losing team but would for a chance to watch a Gator Champ play in his home town. Smile

I do not disagree with that, however I personally feel he would be much better if used as a WR, HB, TE, KR specialist, better yet, if a team does want to use him as a QB use him in short yardage situations, and inside the red line situations, but using him as a Starting QB just would not work for him.

The biggest person to blame for this in my opinion is Urban Meyer, however Tebow was only recruited to be a backup/situational Qb by the Gators

it's a shame, because the fans that do go to the game, are extremely vocal, and of all the nfl stadiums ive been to, feels like a college game (thats a compliment. unfortunately, the team's play is also on the college level. that isnt a compliment)

+1000000 on a new position. It would make his chances of making it in the NFL a little better and would most likely get him in the game for the fans.
