Last night my wife woke me up saying the dishwasher was smoking so I got up and opened the dishwasher it was full of flames it took the fire dept about 2 min to get to my house and only thing ruined is the dishwasher thanks to thier quick response I still have all my stuff and no one was hurt just a lot of clean up today just wanted to share

I am glad to hear that you and your family are ok. Next time though, just turn the dishwasher on lol. I just moved to Saginaw and I hope that our FD is as good as Arlington's.

Glad to hear that everyone is alright and you didn't lose anything except an appliance! I'm always very paranoid about running any of those things that give off heat and only run them when I'm home and awake.

Glad you and your home are ok..There have been several recalls of dishwashers due to catching fires..
Maybe this was one of them..
Consumer's reports has an up-to-date listing..
I would check it out if I were you..
